There are many ways to tap into your higher self. Meditation. Journaling. Engaging in exercises that consciously shift your energy into a higher vibration, such as yoga or kirtan.
The images in this article are from a recent family trip to the Queensland Outback, when we rugged up in the winter cold to climb a short bluff and witness the sunrise over the red sands.
It was nothing short of awe-inspiring.
Witnessing the shifting light from pinks to deep reds to yellow; being the only people around for miles; watching kestrels majestically soar the skies. These things elevated my frequency into something much, much higher. My heart was full of gratitude. I felt awe, wonder and inspiration. My body was buzzing with energy. My heart felt full of love and I felt connected with my family. It was magical.
I felt grounded within myself yet also elevated – connected to spirit.
When you feel stressed, full of concern and anxiety, or disconnected from yourself or others, a helpful strategy can be to elevate yourself into a better feeling place.
A simple way to do this is by recalling times when you felt grounded within yourself whilst buzzing with energy. In this exercise, you’ll create a ready reckoner of call upon when you need a boost into a higher feeling place.
Learning how to tap into your higher self is a skill that will help you immensely on this journey through life. It’s a system reset and with practice it helps you build up resilience and capacity to respond to life’s stimuli from a higher place.
